Cyprus in international tax planning
Since the moment Cyprus joined the European Union, the offshore regulations acting on the territory since 1977 ceased to exist. However, Cypriot companies are still very attractive for the purposes of tax planning due to the fact that Cyprus has the lowest income tax rate in Europe amounting to 10 percent, as well as a vast network of double taxation conventions with over 40 countries around the world.
